When i was a kid I witnessed a glass ash tray being pushed along a table , I't was inside a house with with no windows open and the ashtray was on a dry table .

My friend, for an educated answer, we would require alot more information than you provided in your question (assuming you are sincere). There are thousands of explanations which result in objects seemingly moving by themselves. "Ghost did it" is the easiest and less accepted. Time, date, season and weather, history of house, history of area, prior tenants, builders, etc. Many other factors involved for a sincerely educated hypothesis.
