Yes it is because of his wife. I remember an HBO special about him. He does nothing without her consultation. It may be that he just loves her to death but to most people outside of their relationship he looks whipped.

I think because of his wife. She follows him everywhere and watches him. So I think people think he's a wimp because he listens and does whatever she says. I personally could care less but I think that's why others like to talk about him.
BTW, he's a basketball player.
