well why don't u try getting the hair removal (to remove ur hair)

and u won't be "shaving" ur legs just removing the hair on it...!
=)

Ohh... if u shave them and ur mom notices just explain, ignore, or whatever and tell her "it doesn't matter becuz I shaved them already!!!"

Explain to her that what you are doing is harmless and that you feel better about yourself with your legs shaved. It sounds to me like there is no "letting" you shave your legs since you've already been shaving for 2 years. If you don't shave for a few weeks it will itch but and it will grow back. Try talking to her to compromise, maybe only shaving in the summer when you wear shorts and swim suits, or just show her... In the winter when you're wearing pants, try not shaving 1 leg for a few weeks, then show her the difference. Remember that some cultures don't shave just because they don't grow hair like others, maybe you grow more hair on your legs than she does and if she sees this she may agree. I wish you Luck & Mom understanding! You could be doing worse things! =)

I knows how you feel! I started shaving in 6th grade and I'm in 7th grade now, I'm also 13. My mom said that I was too young to shave and said if you shave it your gonna have to shave it every week or so. I didn't listen to her cuz i loved the feeling after you shave. It felt so smooth and not hairy. Just keep shaving, try doing it unnoticeable though. I was shaving and my mom never found out.

Hi ,my daughter is the same age as you and i let her shave her legs because i can remember what its like to get the piss taken out of you at school for having hairy legs and when you want to wear a skirt ,but i am not vietnise so i dont know about their culture but if you go to another country then you have to take into account their culture and many girls do shave their legs ,try and speak to your mom when you are both calm and tell her your point of view ,my mum didnt let me shave my legs and i was bullied about it so i just used to take my dads shaver ,she is mad because you went behind her back but you did it for a reason good luck honey xxxx

Hey, it's okay. I started when I was 13 as well. Tell your mother that it is your body, and you will do what is the most comforting for you. And, yeah, I hate having hairy legs as well because it is uncomfortable....especially in the summer time! Just keep shaving your legs if you want....you are old enough to in my opinion!

If there is a relative that could speak to your mom and try and explain to her that it's ok here in the States. It's probably a cultural thing. I started shaving mine when I was very young because my mom thought I should be older first. I swore that if it ever bothered my daughter, no matter what age, I would let her and I lived up to that promise.

She comes from a different culture and doesn't "get it". Maybe you could try talking to her and explain that you like having smooth legs. I had a friend in who could only shave her legs up to her thigh. This way she could wear shorts with smooth legs, and her mom felt boys wouldn't go "exploring" past her thighs. Maybe she is afraid of you getting involved with boys if your legs are shaved. Maybe she'll go for the shaving up to the thigh...it's worth a try.

This makes me smile because I went through the same thing with my mother all those years ago. Just keep shaving because you should be shaving by 13. When you get older you will look back and laugh. Hang in there girl it will be alright!

Choice is yours naturally,
but persisting in shaving when u grow up will have harder strand coming up and will not help when married.the soft hair initially u get are like the hairs on a lioness and gives a sexy look, similarly is the pubic hair OR the hair on the head
Lastly beauty in the heart will give u more outstanding result than that of beauty outside.

Tell your mom that this America and not Vietnam and that you are embarrassed in front of the other girls if you don't shave. You could invite some girlfriends over to your home and your mom could see for herself, that other girls shave too.

just tell your mom that it isnt a big deal and there are much worse things you could be doing. having smooth legs is the least of her worries. but if you think she will freak out then say

mom this isnt vietnam anymore shaving exists here.dont worry shaving my legs doesnt mean im going to do anything bad. its harmless.
