green tea is not going to hurt you. Drink away.

All these ppl telling you green tea is horrible during pregnancy are probably the same people who say "Dont eat TUNA" but then they go get flu shots- which contain 250 times the limit of mercury that the government considers to be "toxic".. so whatever.

Anyways- green tea will not hurt you during pregnancy or otherwise.

From www.pdrhealth.com

Special Information If You Are Pregnant or Breastfeeding
Because of its caffeine content, you may want to restrict your intake of Green Tea to no more than 5 cups daily during pregnancy. Although most studies show no harm to the developing baby, some evidence links slower fetal growth to daily intake of 400 milligrams or more of caffeine (6 or more cups of tea). Excessive caffeine intake may also increase the risk of late first or second trimester miscarriage.
Nursing mothers should drink little, if any, Green Tea because, like other beverages containing caffeine, it can cause sleep disorders in infants.

Why does this really matter? It is such a small issue it seems ridiculous that you are so worried about it. Your husband doesn't even care about the the sex of your baby, and I don't either. If you like green tea, I think you should go ahead and risk the safety of your unborn even though you have heard or read that it is harmful.
