If we attack iran, then we are going to need a lot more troops. Since only republicans support the war in iraq and attacks on iran, then they should be the ones who sign up for the military to make sure we have enough people to win the wars. Will they be willing to do it?

I assume that you're talking about the more high profile wealthy and politically powerful version of Republicans. No, they have no problem with military action, as long as they're not the ones in the military.

How sad! Perhaps there are some who might think that but most do not!
Most have the same opinions of our men and women of the military that you do.
I am a liberal Democrat and I have men from every generation of my family who have proudly worn a uniform.
We want the military to have respectable decent and honest leadership!
With everything that is coming out now about the Pentagon purposely manipulating intelligence for Bush's agenda.....do you not understand why we have been fighting this???
More should have been from the beginning!!!!

To the original question honorable men and women of both political affiliations are enlisted in the military. The people with whom the problem resides in BOTH parties are the elitists who have no problem asking the soldiers to fight and risk it all as long as it isn't their necks at risk because they feel they are above actual footservice!!!

First it seems to you that we do NOT have any Republicans serving in our military. Republicans and Democrats are fighting this war for us. Democrats and Republicans have been fighting this war. And I would like some evidence from you that Republicans are not fighting this war. Please sir. Educate me.

First of all, we're not planning to attack Iran anytime soon.
The big question would be, will the Democrats continue to cheer for out defeat if we do?
You guys really want to see us lose. I honestly think you like it when you see dead soldiers because you feel it validates your opinion of President Bush.
