can anyone tell me the meaning of the phrase, you and the frog in your pocket?
i was saying something to the effect of yeah just me and my multiple personalities and a lady i have known for a long time says yeah you and the frog in your pocket and i didn't know how to take that. so yeah

I think this is a reference to the fairytale 'The Frog Prince'. In the story the princess puts the frog in her pocket where is speaks to her. Initially she is the only one who can hear him, so it is sort of an older version of the the voices in your head saying.

I've heard a similar saying. To me it means that it's just you--you're on your own.

It may mean " a part of yourself that other people do not know"..
