iPod, hands down. There are immitators but none that are as good. iPod are the first movers in the market, which can usually mean bad things because others will steal there ideas and expand on them quicker(i.e. TiVo and how cable companies stole the DVR technology), but Apple seemed to have great vision with their product and no one can match what they're doing yet.

I have had several different mp3 players and the ipod is my favorite. The ipod just has so much more to offer with video, music and photos. The ipod+itunes software is also super easy to use.

ipods are good but i think the two best out there are creative, and sandisk, go to there websites and check them out...for video/music players go with ipod...but for flash go with the other two
