1. You can "FOIL" it out. FOIL stands for Firsts, Outsides, Insides, Lasts, the order which you multiply it out. Multiplying it out gives you:
3x^2-9x+5x-15
3x^2-4x-15
2. 400y^2 is the simplest form of 400y^2. If you're talking about the square root of 400y^2, then the answer would be c. 20y, since (20y)^2 is the same as 20^2 y^2, which is 400y^2, thus showing that it is the square root.
