Question

i'm just catching up..i've seen chapter 1, read commentary on 2-9, and seen chapters 10-14...(2-9 aren't shown on nbc.com)

but i have a few questions that may have been answered in the episodes that i only read a brief statements about in the commentary..or maybe they haven't been addressed at all...

1. what exactly does Sylar do to gain other's powers? obviously it has something to do with the brain...so Charlie said she had a brain tumor-type thing, so does that mean Sylar now has it, and can croak at any time?

2. have they ever shown Nathan and Peter's dad? if not, is it possible that it could be Jessica/Niki's dad?

3. if Sylar killed Suresh Sr., does that mean he had a power/ability? they alluded to his daughter having something of the sort.

4. does Suresh Jr. have a power?

I am of the belief that he expose the brain to the light and absorbs the power at that point though I don't rule out cannibalism. And it could be that the tumor will kill him. I thought it would.

2. have they ever shown Nathan and Peter's dad? if not, is it possible that it could be Jessica/Niki's dad?

They have never shown Nathan and Peter's dad but he was a lawyer killed by Sylar. Nikki and Jessica's dad was nothing like that and they did show him being an abusive jerk.

3. if Sylar killed Suresh Sr., does that mean he had a power/ability? they alluded to his daughter having something of the sort.

I thought that too. Why kill Suresh if he will lead you to the others? Perhaps he had a power and Sylar was after it or perhaps Bennett killed him to prevent Sylar from learning any more han he already had. I go with the power thing. Or at least he looked like he had a power because Sanjib kept coming to Suresh in his dreams. As for Shanti, she definitely had a power which drove her insane, but Suresh never bothered to put her name on the list.

4. does Suresh Jr. have a power?

IT would appear that way or else Sanjib just has it in for Suresh's family. Sanjib is the boy who shows Mohinder the past.

1. They havent' said what exactly he does to gain their powers. The only thing they have shown is him slicing their heads open with his finger through thought.

2. Nathan and Peter's dad died before they started the series. Highly doubt that their father was the same. Nathan and Peter's parents were married for years, and never divorced.

3. The reason why Sylar killed Suresh senior was because he "made" Sylar who he was. Suresh was trying to get Sylar in control and he didn't want that.

4. So far Suresh Jr. does not have any powers, he is just trying to find those that do. However, the actor that plays Suresh Jr was on the Today show and left it open that he might possibly have some type of power.

Sylar and Peter seem to be similar in their ability to absorb powers yet (spoiler) Peter has now discovered the ability to remotely access powers simply by thought whereas Syler still seems to need to be near the victim.
Telechenesis seems to be the only constant power within Sylar.

Nathan and Peters Father is as of yet not in the picture. However we have just discovered that Nathan is in fact Claires Biological Father. Niki's Dad has made an appearance.
Surely Nathan and Niki can't be siblings, they had sex...That's sick!

The death of Dr. Suresh wa most likely just covering His tracks.
As of yet Young Suresh has not exhibited any ability.

It's not 100% clear what Syler does. He cuts open their heads, but whether he eats the brain or takes from it...is not clear. Good question about the tumor...I doubt he has one now though

I don't recall them showing Peter and Nathan's dad but I don't think it's Jessica's dad...Nathan and Jessica got it on in Vegas so that would be gross if they were siblings

Suresh Sr had no powers, but had tracked those that do have them...Syler wanted the list so he killed him. Yes, it seems Suresh's little sister that died had some type of ability.

As of right now, Sruesh Jr has no known power...but that doesn't mean he doesn't have one.

2. Nathan and Peter's dad committed suicide...so I don't think their dad is Niki's dad ....
