Ok my cat always walks around my house, he's a house cat and loves to lay on the top of the couch. And I see him many times and I even see his imprint on the couch as if someone just sat or layed on it. Any ideas what might be happening?

That's easy: you loved your "kitty" and you miss him. As long as you remember him, in a sense, he lives. Read the book "The Bridge Over San Luis Rey" to see how I came to this conclusion... its a Pulitzer Prize winning book, so its VERY good!

I think you have a ghost cat.

I read this book years ago, about some amazing things done by animals. And there was this one story about a cat that had died but the owner was sure it was still around.

So they had this forensic examiner come into their house and put white powder where it was believed the cat was. And sure enough, small cat paws started appearing in the powder, confirming the cat's spirit was in the house.

In your case you could look at it that your cat was really happy living with you, and did not want to leave. Or maybe it loved you so much it wants to protect you from harm. You know like a guardian angel.

Maybe that cat`s spirit. I don`t know why the cat wouldn`t have moved on. Did you have some sort of burial/cremation? Was the cat mistreated by a previous owner in its life?

it would desire to (o.k.) advise that we are observing too lots of Stephen King's "puppy Sematary"... "delusion" aside: My cat got here lower back to me, after that is passing, in a "spirit" style, style of like purely an essence, an "air of secret" of a presence...
