Its a Dell Optiplex GX1 400 and is currently running Windows 2000 Pro. I just want to know if its worth upgrading or buying a new computer.

By the time you upgrade you might as well have bought a new one. There are a lot of great deals out there to be had. Check out what HP has to offer for example. They in my opinion are better than Dell, or any of the others, unless you go highend with Alienware and a few others. Hp offers some pretty hot computers for the money. You can also check them out online and buy online and even order a custiom built pc from them. That is what I did. Hope this helps. Take care and God bless.
PS HP offers Vista Ultimate. Check it out. It is good contrary to a few comments against it. Most who really do have it, like it. It is extremely user friendly. Some say that it is too user friendly.

I looked up the specs on your computer, trust me, buy a new one. I've seen the computers without the monitor for $300. You probably can get a good deal on one that still has XP on it instead of Vista. Chow
