The question I would ask is Are u sure that u are having side effects from the IBprofen? Maybe the cyst is causing the pain that u think may be caused by the pill. I really believe that ovarian cyst hurt i have one too. If u think that the med is not workin then dont take it untill it gets real bad then take it to see if it soothes the pain at all.

I have the same problem on IBU. My jaw dislocates when I sleep(if I roll onto my stomach & press it against the pillow), so I end up having to take the IBU for about 7-10 days depending upon how bad the swelling was. I've been told that the reason why is because the lining in my stomach/intestines is much more easily aggitated than in other individuals. I have to agree with that because I don't like really spicy foods either, my stomach can't handle them. I found that if I ate a banana and drank milk with the IBU, that it seemed to do the trick to get the meds into my system without making me sick. You might try that. I also used oatmeal & toast those work too, but a banana is just easier to grab on the go.

Ibprofen can eat at an ulcer. If you think that it is making the pain worse, stop taking it. I ended up haveing ulcer surgery 10 years ago from taking the med. Make sure you are eating with it, or at least drink a glass of milk, that will help coat your stomache.

Try eating a litte food with the pills. That should help, If not, let your doc know you're having pain after taking the pills. You could be having a reaction to the medication. It isn't typical though to have a problem with Ibprofin.

It's stomach pain because Ibuprofen upsets the stomach. 800mg is like taking 4 advil. YOU HAVE TO EAT FOOD BEFORE TAKING THE MEDICINE IN ORDER TO AVOID THE STOMACH PAIN. Otherwise, you get an upset stomach. Trust me, Ibuprofen is great to bring down swelling and take away pain, better than tylenol.

omg That figures. Unfortunately, bimboes are even slipping thru med. school I see. She never mentioned eating any food. Any idiot knows that if one is taking more than 200 mg Ibuprofen, it should be injested WITH food.

Be sure to take itwith food. It's very hard on the stomach.
If it doesn't help, call the doctor so they can order something that will help.

Try taking acetaminophen. it's more of a pain reliever then anti inflammatory and easier on your stomach.
