However, I am willing to do starting from scratch. This will be my last chance to become a pharmacist because of my age but perfect chance financially and timely. Since I do not expect any credit transfer from previous school year. Do I still need to tell a pharmacy school that I have BS degree?

One of the things that is required of pharmacists is absolute integrity. They have to handle all kinds of dangerous drugs, they have to have total trust of their patients while they handle their very private records, etc. So, if you were to lie or conceal anything in your background before applying to pharamacy school, and then later it came out, you would likely be expelled. There is no room in pharmacy for anyone who isn't 100% honest.

Pharmacy is a very competitive profession. An article in our local paper said that the nearby college of pharmacy had over 1000 applicants for 90 spaces. When you return to school you will need to take some tough courses, so you will need to work very hard and get A s in all the prerequisites you are taking.

Having said all that, this is not an impossible dream. But it will take total dedication. Good luck.

Yes. By all means tell them. Once you talk to your adviser he or she will guide you as to what you need to do. At least you have a Bachelors degree. That is something I would certainly be proud of. Even with a low GPA then it shouldn't reflect on your following GPA. We all grow and learn with time. I commend you for going for a career that you really want. At our age is not an easy decision to make. Good luck to you.

Some schools have grade forgiveness policies. Having a bachelors degree is still considered a plus. Contact the schools you're interested in and explain.

You can tell them, but if you are starting from scratch, it really doesn't matter.
