OK, I suck at summaries, but, trust me the animes are good. Here are three of my favorite animes.

Bleach - It's about a boy named Ichigo Kurusaki who can see ghosts. When a shinigami (death god) named Rukia comes in order to fight off a Hollow (an evil demented spirit) and gets injured. She gets injured and transfers his powers over to him. He is now a protector of everyone around him.

Full Metal Alchemist - Edward and Alphonse ,already lacking the presence of a father, can't deal with the death of their beloved mother. They decide they will use forbidden alchemy, and attempt to bring their mother back to life. Their plan fails and due to equivalent exchange Ed loses his leg and arm, and Al loses his body, but Ed managed to bind Al's spirit to a suit of armor. This is the story of their search for the philosopher's stone in order to get Al's body back.

Death Note - Lighto finds a notebook on the ground. Inside their are instructions saying that all of the people whose names are written in the notebook will die. Lighto believes that he will make the world a better place, and so he starts writing the names of criminals in the Death Note. However, the deaths of these criminals do not go unnoticed. L is on his tail and trying to find out who he is.

I can list some of my favorite animes. Here it goes (aside from Naruto)

- The Law of Ueki - action and comedy in genre. Though it might be an action anime, it's not that bloody after all. And what's more, I learned some lessons...

-Yakitate Japan! - Adventure and comedy in genre. This anime is all about baking! I hope you'll like this one!

-Jigoku Shoujo/Girl From - Don't know what's the genre of this anime. But then, this one is rated PG13

-R.O.D. The Tv - anime related to books.

-Gakuen Alice/Alice Academy - all about people having a special powers called Alice.

Others:
-Flame of Recca/Honou no Recca
-Shaman King
-Kamichu/Teenage Goddess
-Kyou Kara Maoh!/God [?] Save our King
-SoltyRei

Have you seen any of Hayao Miyazaki's films? If you haven't, I would definitely recommend them to you.

If you're interested in watching an anime that would leave you in tears, I suggest renting "Grave of the Fireflies." That film made me cry like a little boy.
