how to view laptop screen correctly?

How to know that you have the optimum angle on your laptop screen for working with photos in photo editors ...ie..photoshop.

when the picture doesnt look shadowed or blackened

No angle at all, you adjust the screen so you are looking straight at it, The same goes for LCD flat panels.
