Barry Bonds is an embarrassment to himself, baseball, and everyone who ever played the game with heart.
Henry Aaron will always be the career home run champion, and Roger Maris will always be the single season HR champ, until someone who is clean can legitimately break their records.

I think that Selig should come out and say that baseball cannot support and celebrate a steroid user or enhancement drug abuser. If Barry Bonds is clean and not an abuser, then baseball fans are missing one of the greatest players ever to play the game. This has gone on too long. This is becoming the Barry Bonds-Terrel Owens show. Forget the games.

Selig is just being himself, being all wishy washy. The guy either needs to accept that Bonds will break the record and celebrate it, or flat out declare that Bonds is a cheater. Although right now he's probably just praying that Bonds dies in a car accident, or at least injures himself, or tests positive for steroids, so this whole nightmare can go away.

Steroids or not, if Bonds breaks the record he has to be treated as such...If selig doesn't want him to do it then he needs to figure out a way to suspend him or something...

If Bonds is indicted or tests dirty again, he won't be around to set any record. I think Barry Bonds is going to go down in baseball history as a tragic figure who treated and paid a big price.

I'd say that's an insult to pitchers who have won 300 games. I would just assume Barry go away at this point.

Deffinatley unnessasasary.... that is one of the most cherrished records in all of sports.... and selig needs to either say he isn't going because he isn't endorsing a steroid user, or he needs to be there.... he can't be an iffy kind of guy in this situation....

I think that Bud Selig is the worst commissioner baseball has ever had.

He shouldn't be celebrated at all. He is a cheater and he doesn't deserve it. I disagree with Selig's statement.
