Anyone know average pharmacist income in Canada? UK? Australia?

And if you graduate with a Bachelor of Pharmacy instead of Pharm.D, do you earn less income?(In case of America)

In the U.S., the B.Pharm degree no longer exists. According to salary surveys, for PharmDs and B.Pharms in the same area, there is not major salary difference.

Im a university student in Australia thinking of going into pharmacy myself, i've done a lot of research into their salary and i know people who are pharmacists and own pharmacies.

If you work for someone else in a community/retail pharmacy:

Pre-registration year (first year): $30 000 - $40 000
Registered pharmacist (2nd year onwards): $60 000 - $90 000
Registered pharmacist in charge/manager: $90 000 - $140 000

If you own your own pharmacy you gross anywhere between:
Smaller to medium pharmacy: $200 000 - $ 500 000
Larger/busier pharmacy in good position: $500 000 - 2 million

Anually.

Pharmacy is a very good career in australia. If you chose to go into hospital pharmacy the pay isn't as good. Depends what you want more in a job though.

Also keep in mind that the average salary in Australia is only $35 000 annually. So pharmacists get paid ALOT.

In America, it would depend on your job. Some companies only want to hire a Pharm D. But in my experience, the income is the same as long as you are in the same position. So, if you are a Staff Pharmacist at the same hospital, doing the same job, your pay would be the same regardless of which degree you have.
