No. If you say most people hate you I don't think it's because of your race. I don't think it can be.

Maybe if you'd lived during the years of slavery, or even during the years of segregation, but I see no reason why you would today.
If people don't like you (or you think that they don't), has it occurred to you that it may be for some reason that has nothing, whatsoever, to do with the color of your skin. They could envy you, be jealous of you, be afraid of you, or maybe you don't let people get to know you at all--which would make them wonder why.
I don't know if you are an adolescent or an adult, but I think that you should check out some self-help books on self-confidence, positive affirmations, and personality/etiquette from the library. If you still have concerns after reading those, maybe you should talk to a therapist about why (you think) people hate you. I'm sure that they don't--unless you gave them a very good reason to--but I doubt that, too.
Keep a journal of what goes on each day. Try to put down exactly what you think the people have against you--each day. It will probably turn out to be nothing, and that you are just a bit paranoid. It would still be good to find out why from a therapist. You should not be feeling this way.

About as much of a reason as I have to be depressed about being "blonde". People don't respect me because I'm blonde. You can tell by the way they speak to me or look at me. I don't act ditzy, although I have my blonde moments, but I think everyone has those moments sometimes. I still feel like things will never change and people will always treat me differently. I know where you're coming from, in a sense. You shouldn't feel depressed because you're black. Black is beautiful. There are a lot of racists out there (white and black) but as for me, I look at each individual and decide if they're good or bad...not by what skin color they have. Diversity is wonderful and without it I feel like the world would be boring and plain. I have racism in my own family and whenever they say something racist...I always call them on it and tell them they should not say things like that and it really gets to me that people can be so narrow minded and ignorant. We should ALL "judge" (not really) a person by their individuality...not say that "blacks are like this, or whites are always doing this..." --because not ALL blacks or whites (or whatever race) does that or this...it's all in the individual and that's my point and I'm stickin' to it.

I really don't believe it has anything to do with you being black. Maybe you could ask someone why you aren't friends, so you would know. Hate is a really strong word. Are you sure they actually "hate" you? Or just are not friends with you? There's a BIG difference between the two. Try to find someone with similar interests to buddy with. And remember most of All: Quality is far far more important than quantity.

Nobody has a reason to be depressed because of the color of their skin. Depression in general is getting more common these days for whatever reason. My suggestion is to do an honest assessment of your self image. We all have faults. What good things about yourself can you identify. Be proud of those good things. What we think becomes what we are. I'm sure that you can identify several good attributes that you can focus your thoughts on. You are a child of God and He doesn't make junk.
If some positive thinking doesn't pull you out of depression, you
may need to seek medical help for a brain chemical unbalance.

no you shouldn't be depressed about being black or for any reason really -- only if you let yourself be depressed about it.
there are jerkweeds all over the place and will hate other people for stupid reasons -- being black, white, religious, not religious, etc. etc.
people probably don't hate you, why do you think that? you need to ask yourself. you may just be insecure. be proud of who you are and tell the jerks to leave you alone.

NEVER SAY THAT!!!! black people do soo many wonderful things in the world, and every color is equal. I HATE discrimination. it's really pathetic in 2007 we're still dealing with this. don't listen to anyone that hates you, be yourself, and the people you're meant to be with will come to you. but remember never be depressed about your skin color... we're all equal, and this IS black history month.. so this month especially should be about appreciating black people, and feeling sorry for what they had to go through, and looking back at all the amazing things black people have done. everyone's equal. don't worry.
never doubt yourself.

Well if ppl hate you you must have a clue as to why. You do not have any reason to be depressed because of being blk. I would need to know more about you to answer this Q. Sorry.

No you have no reason to be upset about being black because it is not bad at all! Those people who do are extremely racist and hateful and they need to learn compassion for other people because it is very rude and wrong.

I get the same thing from the black people around where I live, its a racial world and while we cant control what others feel-we can keep our minds and hearts open to each other anyway and hope we influence how people treat each other in the future.Getting mad about it-will just lead to more hatred.

I never even think about what race I am. That would be the last thing I would be depressed about. Why would you get up every morning feeling depressed about your race. Why would you even think about it. Your race is something you can not change. I have never once woke up and the first thing that crossed my mind was my race and being depressed about it.
