You are being way too rational. You're mean! (That is meant to be a joke and a commentary on your reasonable question.)

the two are barely related.
Having children is one of the most basic reasons we are born, it's instinct and in every way i can imagine it's a god given right.
the "cost of living" is a man made consequence of the economic systems we impose on each other and often this cost is increased due to government action.
Simply put, lower taxes dramatically, let the people keep what they earn and live their lives the way they want to. Life was like that in the US 120 years ago and it should be now.

The ones complaining are NOT the ones multiplying....
bet your boots on that.
The ones multiplying are doing none of the tax-paying, that is also a fact.
Therein lies the trouble.

People complain because it's fun to complain and we get pleasure from it. People have more kids because it's fun to make kids and we get pleasure from making them. Huh? What do ya' know, they are related.

Because retirement plans and pensions are no longer part of most peoples' jobs and they want there to be someone to take care of them when they get old and incapacitated.

for the tax breaks, I know of people that paid in maybe $2000.00
but getting back around $5000.00 because of kids...ok my math may be off but you get the gest.
We paid in lots and barly getting back anything now does that seem far to you.

Umm not sure..I dont..
And the two are not exactly linked together.. The cost of living has affected my friends with smaller families more than it has me.. Its not necessarily based on family size

and you're basing this on what?
the one woman you noticed at the grocery store?
the simple fact is... cost of living is hard to swallow even if you have no kids...
people shouldn't have to choose between kids and making it...
