If you feel confident in your ability to read people and to read between the lines, romance on line can be a good start. I know a few people who began this way and had a happy ending. Caution should be your byword however and don't always believe everything you read...especially if it seems too good to be true.

I'm all for it. You can meet the same people here as you would in a bar or anywhere else. The only difference is your not actually meeting face to face right away and you live a little bit further. But if a great relationship forms, distances can be overcome.

Well, for me, personally...I met a wonderful man...online..and we began dating three thousand miles away from each other! At first, he lived in Florida, then he moved for a job to D.C.and after that, he would come to visit me...I lived in Northern California! We dated when he would come to see me..and he would call me almost every night..and I, him...and then one Christmas, I came to him for the first time...near D.C.Area.for one week...and went back home...and packed up everything, moved out of my apartment that I had lived in for 16 long years..and moved to be with him...lived with him, for a year...then we both went back to my home state...filed for marriage..got married July 4th,2006,and lived happily ever after near D.C.,and are still in love....as I tell everybody.."every day is a honeymoon with my Sweetie"! which it is! I didn't have a honeymoon, so when my nosy younger sister got upset over that(which was silly!) I just told her, that sentence, which is still the whole truth, and then some!!!LOL!

I really lucked out...and I never ever thought that ME, or I would ever get married...I married later in my life...first time for me..his fourth...but, I don't care about that...I just care that I love him, and he loves me..and there is a lot of joy in our union together...I feel quite blessed!! I nearly made mistakes marrying the wrong guys,(whom I did NOT meet on the net!) and I have dated some wrong "types" from the net...so love could happen or it might not happen...but, if you try..and keep trying...you just never will know,!!! Don't give up totally...you truly might find the love of your life...you really just might!!!!!

I met my husband online so therefore I'm for it if you just meet the right person. We've had our troubles but have 2 wonderful kids and that makes up for everything.

(I'm serious, I met him in Yahoo! Chat 4 1/2 years ago. I know scary huh, but I love him dearly and cannot see myself without him. i fell in love with him the minute I saw him. :):):):)

Why not? People did it with letters for hundreds of years. You're dealing with the person, not just the physical attraction.

I'm actually in one right now. She's looking to move closer to me, but we're still talking about our plans. She makes me really happy!

It can be sweet and wonderful...but also complicated, and sad after too much California Merlot.

It's not a relationship. It's just words.
