I've just got the complete tv series on DVD . I saw one episode, and it seems interesting. What do you like about these movies and series? Makes you wonder if there really is a planet of apes somewhere!

Here's to telling my age. I remember seeing the series on TV when i was much younger. I enjoyed them. Not the same production value as the movie but more detailed characters. Hope you enjoy them now.

Yeah I remember the tv series. About 1974. I thought it was sorta cheesy even back then. The ape makeup was less detailed than in the first movies. The later movies also were not very good compared to the first two IMHO.

It was fairly good but if you really want to get a charge, read the book the movies were based on---very good and very different! But the series was good--some of those were movies were absolutely a waste of time! Remake wasn't bad.

That was one show that wasn't quite as good as the Movies, but I watched it anyway. There were some good stories though.
