hit yourself in the other eye with a doorknob -- then both of them will match up and the pain/pressure will be equal on both sides of your face.

Rocky ol son stay outa the boxing ring!

Now here is the sure fire cure for the problem. Pop down to the pharmacy and get some hemmoroid creme. Apply it to the affected area and in a few hours your eye will look almost new again.

For severe black eyes( which is blood in the tissue from fractured capilliaries) you might need a few applications to get it to be fully suppressed Used in sports medicine and the modeling trade all the time

I know that this sounds gross, but I have heard that putting a raw steak on a black eye can help. I had a really bad bruise on my bum once. It was so bad I needed to go to the doctor to get a shot of something or other because it was clotting weird. The moral of the story is if it is very bad you might want to check with the doc.

Not much you can do to reduce the coloration. Obviously alternative ice and heat for the swelling and also some ibuprofen (mild blood thinner) will help with the swelling also. Other than that, rock that black eye.... black eyes are sorta cool and always a conversation starter with any girl/guy you're into. Use that... oh, and heal up.

Believe it or not, leeches.
I never done it myself, but some herbalists, alternative medicine centers, etc, do offer the treatment. They attach it to the swelling and it sucks the blood out. Might be a little creepy, but it works.

A quick goog..eh sorry Yahoo of the term "leech treatment" brought some like these:
