We are trying to measure the depth of our kitchen sink. Do we measure from the opening for the garbage disposal to the top of the basin? Thanks!

From the flat spot near the drain opening, up to the top edge. Just stick a ruler or yardstick down there, bend over, and read at eye-level.

Seven inches is a standard depth for kitchen sinks, which is probably what yours is. Personally, I would try to go with the deepest sink that would fit.

yes, just lay a straight edge across the top of the sink and measure to the lowest point in the sink
