Yes it is very normal. It is going to be okay.. I have only had one or two periods all the time I was nursing my baby and beyond.(I only nursed for 8 months, but sheesh!) If you are still nursing your baby, then the combination of nursing and taking the shot, could throw your periods off balance.

I don't know how young "really young" is, but were you old enough to have a regular cycle before you started with depo? Sometimes birth control can sort of force your system into a regular 4 week cycle, but when you go off the birth control your body works into a rythm of its own. And if you've lost your job, maybe stress is messing you up. Maybe ask your doctor for sure, but unless you're pregnant again or trying to get pregnant, not having a period seems like a bit of a gift to me. (By the way, aren't there any free clinics or public services in your area? Could they give you free birth control pills? Because unless you're totally abstaining from sex, the possibility of pregnancy is there, and saving a little money on birth control doesn't balance out the cost of having another baby.)

i think it is probably normal. i nkow it can take a while to get your period back, although i got mine back right after i stopped taking it. i would say check with your doctor if you are really worried. or wait a few more months and see what happens
