I caught a felonious assult in 1988. I'm being federally sentenced soon. Please help, I'm just trying to figure out where I stand!

If you have been convicted it stays on your record forever.
If you haven't the state has 7 years to convict you or they have to drop it.

Felonies are permanent. It will be considered by the judge, and it's up to the judge whether to bother with it (there usually isn't a mandatory relationship).

they should give you probation on.
