Chasing a red herring is supposed to be a metaphor for following a false lead or something like that.

I don't know much about commercial fishing; I have, however, watched Forrest Gump several times. He had a shrimp boat. He made really good money, plus he invested in Apple computers which turned out nice as well. So there's my two cents worth!

no it should work out great, especially having your business headquarters located in nebraska and your boat 'alantis' will catch all the red herring you and mr finn ever hoped for, im just sure of it...i think~~
