that's a confusing question to respond to, via fact that's plenty greater complicated than before everything look. As instructors, we are hoping that the pupils do their own homework. besides the undeniable fact that, homework help has continually been around, often interior the student's own residence from mum and dad, siblings, grandparents or perhaps neighbours. that's a nicely familiar certainty that fogeys fairly oftentimes DO the youngsters HW via fact they choose their toddlers to excell. Do the youngsters study from this??? some do and a few do no longer. recently, many pupils' mum and dad paintings long hours, grandparents often do no longer stay interior reach, so the youngsters hotel to Yahoo Q&A for help. confident, some are lazy yet many basically basically don't comprehend the homework. would desire to we answer their questions??? confident...would desire to we do their finished homework??? No...i've got observed that lots of the solutions to HW questions oftentimes do no longer address the finished project and actually some an answerer will state that "i'm unlikely to do your HW for you"......besides the undeniable fact that, on a lighter word, i spotted which you lamented on the place replace into Yahoo Q&A once you have been in college - possibly that's purely a case of grownup bitter grapes - in the event that they might have, would you have availed your self of it LOL??

it all depends on the answers actually.
Many people woud take the problem step by step, explaining how and why they did certain things to get their solution. Those are the type who take a tutoring approach and, in my opinion, are extremly helpful and fit right in for this site.
While others simply post the answer and won't explain anything. Those are the kind who are 'cheating' I don't really like those kinds of anwers.
But to answer your question, no. I do not think a person is cheating by asking for help on their assignments.

No, this is not cheating. The point of homework is to reinforce what you have learned in class, and if you do not understand what you have learned in class, you are supposed to figure it out. Whether that is through friends, teachers, parents, reference books, a tutor, or the Internet, you are still figuring out the answer somehow. This would be cheating if you were taking a test, but homework is meant for reinforcement, not testing. Hope this helps!

yeah i guess. i think its more the world cheating its kids and the kids cheating themselves. its too easy to get the answers handed to you now, instead of having to read and look for them. but its not their fault that the internet was developed, it is a good resource, but i think its inhibiting kids from using their brains. it takes time and brainpower to read through a chapter to find your answer, and your brain is taking in that information.it takes 5 minutes and a couple finger strokes to find your answer without even trying. i think its sad more than anything, that people are more geared toward the grade and the simplicity than learning and bettering themselves.

Depends. If they genuinely tried and posted their attempts at the question rather than asking straight up for a solution, I don't think they're cheating.

Not as long as the answerer doesn't just give the answer. The answerer should guide them to the proper way to solve the question.

no, it'd be the same asking the teacher or friends or peers for help about a homework question. It never hurts to ask for help.

yes it's like cheating, it's not like your tutoring them because your not helping them find the answer your giving it to them. They don't learn anything from it.
