Asking a girl out on Valentines Day: CORNY?
Is it corny to ask a girl out on Valentines day? Looking for advice from "players" out there. Yay or Nay? I've had my eye on this girl at work for a while but I'm thinking it might be corny. Hmmmmm...

Corny? No....absolutely not. What a great "excuse" for asking someone out for the first time. Go for it.

Definitely not corny. Everyone would like to be out with someone on Valentine's Day.

It's all up to you, but keep in mind you will pay more for a Valentine's date than a regular one. First, she will expect something, even if it's just a single rose. But most important, most restaurants are crowded on Valentine's Day. They also usually jack their prices up and have lousy service because they're so crowded. I've been out with my husband on Valentine's Day, and the food was horrible (and that's at a place that we usually go to, that usually has much better food and service).

Go ahead and strike up a conversation. Ask if she has someone special. Go for a walk or a cup of coffee, if you want to, but wait for another day before you have an official date.

Jake... lets call a spade a spade. Wait until after Valentine's Day so you don't have to get her anything. Besides... see if any other guys give her/do anything special for her Feb. 14th. By just sitting back and observing you can see if there is anyone else in the background working to get the same chick you are. As soon as Feb.15th rolls around (and you have established that you don't have any guys to compete with) make your move. With the money you saved by not getting her flowers, etc. on Valentine's Day you can take her out to dinner and a movie. She is more likely to say yes at this time too becuase she will never want to see another Valentine's Day alone.. haha. Best of luck and God Bless

Ask her out on February 13th...if all goes well, February 14th will follow.
