Why does the Australian Government want to destroy families immigrating here from the US OR UK ?

I have a mate who is Americanm and has been here for two years Australian Immigration are rufusing to accept his marriage certificate as official. He and hes Australian wife tied the not while on hollidays in Mexico somewhere. Now he stands to be deported (please see my earlier Q) Also why does out Government take such a strong stance against immigrating Brits and the US ? When if anyone has a right to move here and marry into our society surely its them ! Why will they bend over backwards to accomodate unskilled less desirables coming here, who know nothing of our society and have no intentions of assimilating within us ?

Thanks Alan, however you may have misinterpreted the Question slightly, hes wife was born here (Aus) she is 4th generation, he came here from the US about 4th generation US. Neither were "mail orders" if you like, they were married rather haphasedly whilst vacationing in Mexico - thats probably the problem ! So yes they to find a Minister here I gues to be recognized as husband and wife in Australia.

Perhaps you've not heard of the Asian/mexican prostitutes who are "married". They come to Australia (USA, too) expecting a new life, only to be stuck in a brothel and their passport confiscated.

It is, basically, a slave trade.

There's not a lot immigration can do, but ONE thing is- make sure the marriage is legal. So tell your friend to have an official, Australian recognised, wedding. It doesn't have to be fancy, just legal.

and also you imagine your authorities officials are putting out on Y!A waiting for advice? There are extremists in each and every faith. There are even atheist extremists. So utilising your common sense, judging anybody in a huge crew depending on the behaviors of a minority few interior of that crew, all people are evil.
