I've always thought that that was kinda old superstition. I mean something unprovable...impossible...and as Holmes would say, improbable.

All emotions are an electro chemical response within the body. These responses are able to pass across the placental barrier to the fetus. If you watch a fetus on an instant imager and make the mother laugh the fetus will react by kicking or smiling. Crying elicits a distress response from the fetus.
So yes it is true.Increased heart rate and movement have shown this in several experiments

I think baby in the womb feels all the emotions of the mother because whenever mother feels bad or is in continuous tension the miscarriage could happened and if the mother is happy and gay the baby is in good form and delivered as a healthy baby

No, it's not true. A baby in the womb is a separate human being from its mother and there is no physical connection between the two brains.

Some hormones levels would change with things like anger and sadness, and happiness would change it too, but whether or not the baby would 'feel' the change and react with the same emotion, I just don't know. I do know that since there is no framework for emotional reference it won't knowing its afraid or worried or even happy.

My husband believes that. He always tells me to be in good spirits because the baby can feel what i do because the baby is living inside of me. I Think so cuz when i feel down or angry at something its like my baby is sayin calm down.

No one really knows the answer as testing this theory would mean they would have to invade the womb.

blood pressure has a HUGE effect on the baby... if you are mad it goes up.... happy is level and calm is slightly down.
