If you're being inspired by Greys Anatomy, the answer is no.

If you are not a hard worker, the answer is no.

If your idea of how a doctor's life works is taken from Gray's anatomy, then you need to get a more realistic view before committing ten years of your life to medicine.

Medical schools do not care what your HS grade were. They do care very much what your college grades were in the prerequisite courses that you are required to take before you apply to med school. You will have to take chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, biochemistry and physics with calculus before you can apply to most med schools. Those are very tough courses and you need to get top grades, and you will be competing against kids who were serious students in high school, took AP science courses to get ready for college, were in the science and math clubs, etc.

Is this an impossible dream? No, it is not impossible, but it will take fierce determination and absolute dedication to medicine as the most important thing in your life. Everything else will have to be put on hold while you fight your way to the front of the med school applicant line. Do you have what it takes? or is this just a passing fantasy? Anything less than total dedication and you will fail.

i think of you nevertheless have a gamble considering you probably did turn issues around and placed your self on the suited music. Your previous would desire to be a draw lower back while your utilising for a university with premed/biology as your important, yet i think of you have a honest shot. the important element is which you're able to bobbing up the stable grades. i'd attempt to do some community service or activity shadowing at a community well being middle, which will seem great on an application to scientific college, yet remember you will desire to pass the MCAT to even get in, so as long as you pass which you have a honest shot. as long as you do nicely interior the MCAT, a scientific college truly won't care what you probably did your freshman twelve months, they likely won't even understand approximately it. stable success!

Yes. It's possible to become a doctor without ever graduating high school or even doing a ged. Don't worry. Just do well during university/college. If you can't get into a regular university, just go to a community college for a semester or two and transfer. It's easy! Schools don't even look at your high school information after you have some post secondary education. Yes, it's possible to get financial aid for medical school.

You will probably have to attend a community college to raise your educational proficiency. Then attend a four year college graduating with good grades. Then you may be able to attend a post graduate school with a residency. Good luck (Teach )

high school grades are pretty much what decide your fate life and if you ****** that up your only real option to getting into medical school would be to take your first 2 years of g.e at a community college and then to transfer into a state school with a good medical program. The #1 schools for medicine in the country right now are U.C.S.D and Columbia University. i know for fact that U.C.S.D doesn't accept anybody with grades below C's in high school, the average G.P.A acceptance into that school is like a 3.8 at the least. Oh, and the medical program is nearly impossible to get into, 5,000 applicants fro pediatrician school and only 150 openings. Those are some ratios for you, good luck..
