My fiance is a truck driver... we are planning on getting a house in Texas in 3 months or so... is it tacky for me to still live with my folks for the time being?

No, not if you have a plan. Your situation is different then most, but you've got a plan, so you're good. Now, if you both lived with your parents, that would be silly. CONGRATS! and Good Luck!

If your parents don't mind and your fiance doesn't mind...then don't worry what other people think. It's not tacky. You have a plan and there is no sense in renting a place for 3 months then moving to TX

No, its not uncommon. There is a time limit, and you have plans. If your parents don't have a problem with it then its okay.

We lived with my parents for about a year. They had an apartment in the basement, and we were very grateful for their generosity. So later when we had the money we took them to Paris, France.

Extended families used to be the norm in this country...it seems to be returning to the fore.

Don't worry how this looks to the world. You have a plan - follow thru with it and move on.

Good luck!

regrettably, i'd say there's a huge chance that he may be dishonest on you. he's appearing chilly in the route of you, bitter for no reason, and he has in basic terms exceeded you the accountability of holding the abode even as he's sound asleep in another room. My question for you is this: How certain are you that his pal gave the keys to that woman? you have to be very, very certain earlier you even element out this to him. in case you confront him about this and also you crack less than his stress and say, "nicely, i presumed he gave them to her," then you genuinely should be the "loopy" spouse who would not trust her husband, in his eyes. i'm holding this so that you'll be able to be sure there is little question on your innovations that the keys may are turning out to be lost in translation someplace. i'm certain of one element right here. It would not seem good. those are countless the indications a guy may be dishonest. you purely ought to carry your floor in case you'll confront him about this.

No it's fine. But don't overstay your welcome. Tell your parents how long you will be there, and stick with the plan.
