dude....dude....dude

Read what you just wrote okay. Please read it!

What's more 'embarrassing' is that you'll be a junk car for $2500, you won't be able to insure it because you have no money, and you won't be able to put gas in it because you have no money.
You won't be able to take a girl out....BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO MONEY.

Get a job. If you're too embarrassed to have a loving mom, then take the bus. But get a job before you buy a car. And if anyone 'makes fun of you' for having a loving mom, who cares?? But like i said, take the bus if it bothers you that much.

You should more embarrassed that you don't have a job, let alone a vehicle. A lot of people can't afford a car, because they can barely afford to live!

And stop worrying about what other people think. No one cares. No one cares you don't have a job, or a car, or a place of your own. We don't, we're too busy worrying about our own goals and expectations.

No, you're smart. I was just reading that the reason people are in such huge debt is because of the cars we drive. We are spending way too much money on them and going way out on our loans to afford them. I think you can get as much as 8 - 10 years on a car loan now. Don't start the long spiral into debt. Get a decent used car with a good rep (Consumer Reports is very helpful in this area).

I'm 23 and don't have a car... if you live in an area with decent public transportation, there's really no need. In fact I always admire people who take buses / trains to work; they are helping the environment. Plus, with gas prices at the moment, owning a car is a killer expense. You shouldn't be ashamed, and you're not alone!

well, I'm 22 and I don't even drive.

However, I have a job and always have. I've also never depended on people for rides to and from work, I either walk or take public transportation.

I don't think not having a car is embarassing. I think not having a job is.

I am. I'm 19. You shouldnt. Dont worry about it. I see people that are in the 20's in my college and are being driven over there by their parents. It`z all cool dude. Just look in front where life is leading you to and everything will come out okay. You'll sooner or later will get your car.

In this day and time, LOTS of folks don't have the money to own and operate a vehicle! don't fret.. just get your car, get a job, and take charge of your own life... you've got SOOO much to look forward to!

i'm over 18, but i have a car...
anyway -- don't feel like a loser over that because you are not. cars are expensive to have and maintain. i don't think it should be embarassing that your mom drops you off at work -- at least you want to work and you have parents willing to help you out. it is not embarassing at all.

Consider your logic. You don't have a job because you don't have a car. But you don't have a car yet because you don't have enough money. Hmmmmm.....
