WWF was better too.
They focused more on the sport than on principles.

WWF was wayyyy the fuk better, I mean all the classic matches were in it, like the undertaker vs. hogan, ultimate warrior vs. whoever, it had andre the fuggin giant and it had the whole world shook. Jake the Snake and the macho man + sherl and elizabeth was in it too and that's always a +. There was the brother love show for valentines day, the beefcake, and sgt. slaughter, the mounty, the big boss man, the nasty boyzz, that guy from west virginia with that chaw vs. jake the snake oh man I totally remember it like it was yesterday (and what about the million dollar man?). And they had competition with wcw and it was soo nice to see alot of these stars in wcw when they were kicked out of wwf. I think the WWF, instead of going to court with the world wilflife foundation, shoulda had jake the snake come up from behind on the world wildlife's president and choke him with lucifer or maybe negotiate something figuring jake the snake was into wildlife too, and even that komono lizard guy could have participated.

Has for the question, WWE has lost a lot of top draws since the Attitude Era. They have lost Stone Cold to two bum knees, bad knuckles, and other injuries. They have lost Hogan has he is very old and they have lost a lot of the old tag teams like Christian and Edge, Dudley's and others. I have to say that WWE is in a recession period. It will comeback eventually but not right now so I have to say that WWF was better.

Wrestling was better when it was in the WWF days more than the WWE days now. There were better matches the wrestlers were putting their heart and soul into the business. Now they just want after the titles and to sell merchandise and go hollywood.
