Thank you for your time

you are way off :) when its a complement, i tmeans the 2 angles make 90 degrees. so say X + 4 x = 90
5 x = 90
x = 90/5
x = 18 (this is the angle they are asking you for)
4 x = 72 (this is the angle 4 times larger than the other one. the complement)

The answer of the angle is 18 and its complement is 72. A complement of an angle is 90 minus the angle. The ratio of the two angles would be 4 to 1 since the complement is four times the angle's measure. 90 divided by 5-(sum of the ratio) is 18, giving you the measure of the angle, and if you take 18 and multiply it by four, you get the complement.

I think the answer should be 18. The complement of an angle is the angle that when added to the first angle, froms a right angle(complementary angles..). Here, you know that the measure of an angle, x, is complementary to an angle 4 times it, 4x. Thus, you know that x + 4x = 90, because complementary angles add up to 90. You then add the variables to get 5x = 90, then simplify to get x = 18!

way off, there are 5 equal parts, your first angle and the one that is 4 times as big. 1angle +four times that angle makes 5 equal angles. 180/5=36* ftc

i think it is 90x4=360

complementary is 90 degrees...4 times the measure so yeah i think you're right.
