I feel like buying a couch. Money is no object.

If it's for your family room, I would get the most comfortable plush couch ever. I bought a leather sofa and love seat and they are beautiful but I so regret it. I wish had bought a huge microfiber of chenille sectional with tons of pillows. I like to curl up and be cozy while I am reading or watching tv. Leather is cold and really not all that comfortable unless you are sitiing upright talking with guests. sure looks great in the room, however.

Just get a futon mattress and put it on the floor against a wall with some floor pillows. And then put him on a diet and fitness plan. Everytime he eats something he shouldn't or skips a day of exercise make him put money in a jar. Once he gets down to a reasonable weight then buy the couch and use the money he had to put in the jar. Good luck! =)

How about a leather couch? Either that or a very soft comfortable fabric couch.

It depends if you have children or pets, if not get something comfortable, if you do get leather or something with good fabric to withstand the spills etc. Good luck I need a couch, can I have your old one. LOL =)

Get a nice one with a bed built in. You can use the bed if you ever have guests over that need a place to sleep. I think they might have a leather one with a bed built in.

I just bought a set! they are lazyboy and extremely big, comfy and the kind you can just curl up and fade into! I suggest those! Mine are green by the way, a sage green! very cozy!
