So you will be in Sharm and want to visit Cairo?
Ok, there is only Egypt Air that i know of. I live in Sharm el Sheikh, so i've tried all different methods. You can try a bus, but the flight is alot shorter and avoids the hassles of the road.
Anyway, Egyptians will pay somewhere close to $100, but foreigners should expect to pay alot more, maybe even double. Sorry, but those are the rules here. I don't like them either.
The best thing for you to do is to reserve for your ticket in advance, your local travel agent should be able to help you with that, as well as get you the best deal. Just remember that there is no competition on this route, so don't expect to save much.
If you can, arrange for transportation inside Cairo before you leave, this will save you alot of trouble. Egyptian taxi drivers are notorious for scaming tourists and trying to rip them off. In any case, under no circumstaces should you pay more that 40-50 Egyptian pounds for cab from Cairo airport to downtown Cairo. That price is for the cab, no matter how many people are in your group.

nopee,no trains u can basically take a bus or an aero plane cairo to sharm el sheikh takes 4 to 5 hours at the same time as from alexandria to sharm takes from 8 to 9 egypt means alll the provincials including cairo btw hahaha it prices from 400 to 500 egptians pounds L.E u will fairly delight in a contented holiday there ;))

depends who you go with, you will have to fly with Egypt air but if you do it independently then the flight is about £100 -£120 but if you go with your rep on an arranged tour then expect to pay considerably more. If you go independently you will find a taxi outside the airport or the bus to take you into the centre of Cairo. if you travel by taxi negotiate your price in advance in Egyptian pounds and for however many people you are ( normal scams are to charge in English pounds on arrival or say that was for each person )
It is possible to visit both the museum and pyramids in one day.
but not to do much more. Alternatively you may like to try luxor for the day that's where all the tombs are and Karnak and other temples. Both are fantastic to visit.
also if you ask your concierge to book your ticket you will also pay more. Book your own ticket at the egypt air office is cheapest any other way you will pay commision have fun

Egypt air is the cheapest and most available for that. It will cost about 200$ more or less and the price depends on many details at that time, so you can't get an accurate price unless you check on line or by any other way for the exact price while giving all details including date, age, class available, time of the flight, alone or with a group, have any kinds of discounts or not.

I think it is about £170 it depends who you go with. I have done it from Cyprus and it is an amazing trip i know its expensive for one day but it is well worth it.
