Good question if this is a true situation. True if your wife is certain to always respond exactly the same regardless of the conditions and variables involved.
There has to be something that has made her happy and laugh. You married her and if this is how she has always been then you must have liked it enough to marry her. People don't change all that much.
Look to the conditions of a good time with her and implement them into the conditions of the present. Take her to that happy place where she can be understanding and listen. If there were never such a place then counseling is the only way to modify a conditioned response or correct poor communication skills.

I think that you just need to sit her down and have a quiet talk. Its important first to make her know that you aren't attacking her...therefore she won't come back at you in anger. Start by telling her your feelings and how it doesn't feel great with how you guys have communicating lately. Then I would ask her if there are anything that she thinks the BOTH of you can work on together. The key is to not attack her and look at the problem and seeing how to solve it as a team rather than placing blame on her which would probably provoke anger and yelling...good luck. :)

Ask her if she likes yelling at you? or why she yells at you? There must be a reason. Does she yell at anyone else? Yelling tires you out so I doubt she likes doing it. Ask her if you can talk to her, sometimes you yell so much, you forget what it is like to just talk

Try talking to her when you're both in a good mood.Take her out to eat and try to communicate with her about your issues with her.Listen to her because you might have to hear her side. There's three sides to every story, your side, her side and the truth.Good Luck and I hope that you two can work out your differences.
