No I think you will be able to download everything. I think people are getting sick of crowds and traffic.....I wouldn't be surprised if in the next 20-50 years professional sports being scaled down drastically also.

Yes, however, most people will have these "Movie Theaters" in their own homes. Today, there are some people who are actually converting rooms in their homes into small 'theaters'.

The prices of projectors have come down, DVDs and DVD players are fairly inexpensive compared to new media and devices and a video projector nowadays can be purchased for much less than a plasma or LCD display.

Combine that with a reasonable sound system and a nice projector screen and you have a very good viewing experience close to the movies --but without people's cell phones, chatter, arguing, moving around, etc. to interrupt your viewing.

Not only that, you can pause the movie when you want and continue where you left off. Some folks have gone so far as to take their 'theater' rooms to new heights; some decorate them with a theme, others add a snack bar, some even put in theater seats.

I think there will be movie theaters, just on a 'smaller', more personal scale.

I think there will always be movie theatres. Sometimes we want to watch a movie alone in a crowd.... and they'll keep evolving to make out viewing experience better and better. We've always gathered in groups to be entertained at this won't change.
