No sound on PC i865?

I am using 865chipset and Windows Xp home edition, and yesterday tried to install Creative Live sound card, It didn't work, but when I took that out, my built-in sound stopped working also, I checked everything--sound controllers, volume level, drivers, everything looks fine, except I don't have sound....
Does anyone know about it?

Hi. Try getting the NEWEST drivers from the Creative website. Uninstall the card in 'Control panel' and reboot. Make sure the cable is plugged in and powered speakers are in fact powered. (Don't laugh, you'd be surprized!) Good luck.
