i own a repair shop, and there's no heater core that can be changed in a few minutes, you need a good Haynes repair manual on this car,it will guide you through the whole process,on doing this one, there's a lot to changing one on a escort, buy a good manual and read it good, you,ll see what I'm talking about good luck,i hope this help,s.

If it is anything like my S15 Jimmy 4X4 find a new car!
It was behind the dash like all of them but it took 4 days to change it as you have to remove the entire dash to get to it.
Most heater cores I have changed (About 7) have taken from 20 minutes to 4 hours, this was the worst I have ever had to do, and 4 weeks later a head gasket blew!
Oh well.

Its probabily located under the dashboard somewhere, thats all I know dude. Ive only changed 1 heater core before, but it was on a Pontiac, but it only took 10-15 mins.

hi i'd persist with the advice of Jason H and David D. On a run have you ever observed the temp gauge swings around dependant at this form of driving your doing. I.E sluggish the needle gets larger, rapid the needle gets decrease. those all factor to thermostat. in the adventure that your caught for time or money a rapid restoration is in part sparkling of the radiator with cardboard. just to get you out of worry short term.

Buy a repair manual, or go to the nearest public library to look at one for free.
