I have tried the pledge grabit mop with the aerosol can and loved it but can't find it anymore. The clorox mop does ok but the pads arent very thick and they dont scrub well. Has anyone tried swiffer? Or maybe some other brands?

Swiffer works great...the other guy was right about not buying those expensive replacement pads, I am in the cleaning buisiness and we get our micro fiber cloths very cheap off the internet from www.EazeeClean.com.
They are only like 3 bucks a piece....I encourage you to try them...hope this tip helps.

I like the swiffer, but I don't buy the refill cleaner or the pads, I just use the mop part. I use water (or cleaner of my choice) and put a microfiber cloth on the end- attach it just like you would the pads that are made for it. The microfiber cloth cleans better. The cleaner that comes with the swiffer leaves the floors sticky. No more buying refill pads - just toss the cloth in the wash.

I am not crazy about the swiffer pads, they are thin and don't get in the cracks well, but I do use them for a quick clean up, for my wood floors I love the pledge pads they leave the floors shiny.

I use a regular sponge mop. Those sweiffer type things are godo for a quick tidy up before a guest arrives, but not for regular cleaning, IMO.
