Underwear & socks on the floor, toothpaste on the mirror, large hams and snoring aside, I think the hardest thing is the constant compromise.
The putting the 'we' and the 'us' ahead of 'me' or 'I'. Always adjusting your priorities and desires to fit within the unit that the two of you have created can be wearing, frustrating and irksome.
The important thing to remember is that your partner is, presumably, doing the same for you.

I would say just learning the good and bad habits of the other person and them learning yours. Finding out each others likes and dislikes. The saying " you never really know a person until you live with them " is so very true. Learning to cope with someone else in your space can sometimes be difficult. Good luck, hope this helped
