At 15 your options could be limited. You say NY, but is it NYC or NY state? If you live in an area with homes and lawns, go door to door and sell yourself as a lawn pro. If not try, general landscaping - pulling weeds, trimming hedges. A vehicle helps - which you're too young to drive.
An alternate plan is the food industry. 20 years ago I was working at Taco Bell at 15 y.o. Not a cool first job, but it was money in my pocket. Just think - that company could have paid for college and I might have worked my way up into the big ranks ready for retirement by now. I was too concerned about being a teenager and not thinking 20 years ahead. Whatever you do have a plan in mind, ask questions, be interested, learn the business and become valuable to your employer.

Try a fast food place...for the leadership opportunities. Now, if you have connections, try an entry level (bottom of the pile) in Wallstreet.
