Try CLR or Limeaway. Both are pretty good at getting rid of hard water deposits. Leave it on for about half an hour, then (wearing rubber gloves to protect your hands) wash it off with hot water on a damp cloth.

I haven't used this product, but I have heard that Flitz will work on plastics for hard water stains. I believe they have a web site.

Yeah, white vinegar, soak some cotton wool with vinegar and leave it overnight to soak in, then wash off with water.

Soak it in vinegar , it takes it off easily let it soak half an hour.

have you tried CLR? also they sell cleaner solutions in dept. stores for that. it also kills the bacteria in it as well. should be where the humidifiers are sold.
