I've been burning a lot of tea light candles lately, and the little empty tins are so cute, not to mention flexible. Can anyone think of any ideas of crafts of projects for which I can use them? My eight-calorie cheesecake idea is JUST NOT WORKING! ;-)

I use the lights for my oil burners. A bag of tea lights is much much cheaper than the combined cost of candle making supplies, especially since they burn away almost all of their own wax.

Don't use them to make foods. Those little tins are not food safe containers. That aside, I'd refill them with scented wax to make more candles.

If you are burning alot of tea lights why not go to wicks and sticks or a craft store and get the stuff to make some more. Then you have a steady stream of candles and you can play with the "flavors" of waxes to find the one you like the best. I have been wanting to do something like but my little girl would probably get into it and burn herself or worse.

You could fill them with peanut butter or suet to feed the birds.

Drill holes the size of the Tea Light Tins in a small log . Hang the log where birds (normally woodpeckers) will find it. You can watch the birds eat the contents. By using the filled Tea Light Tins, filling the feader is a snap, especially in cold weather.
