Why is the left more worried about global warming (a theory) than terrorism (a reality)?

i apologize that i touch type fast, since i now see how LONG this answer is, but i think that it's necessary.

just a moment. but global warming is a fact. whether or not it will cause climate changes is theoretical or wrongly assumed by too many leftists.

the reason the left is more concerned with the "terrors" of global warming is because:

a. they are quite self-centered. if it costs too much money to buy gasoline (which may occur if we bomb iran, which is likely to happen, don't you think?), they will become angry that their "right" to drive their SUVs has been compromised.

b. their basis is actually from the flower power hippie and then power monger days back in the '60s and '70s. i know it because i lived it. we did rightfully resent our men being torn apart in viet nam, since it is the only war ever that was not declared.

c. the libs are far more into power to not be themselves, but to make demands upon our government that they see as "rights," such as that illegal aliens such as the folks of la raza, who think that they should put new mexico back into mexico (yeah, right) should "rightfully" live off of welfare and get free medical treatment.

d. the libs go with the flow. i get irritated at them not because they are leftist, but because they mainly follow just about anyone. they are like sheep to me, afraid to stand up and speak. they really want the government to do everything for us, including limit our civil liberties, based on fear. for example, they are against our right to bear arms, or to have arms in our houses even if we are trained by the NRA, due to their sordid memory of columbine. if they were to realize that david koresh's group in waco was heavily armed but had NEVER caused anyone any danger or harm with their arms, they would wake up and see that the government really committed a terrible, frightening rage of terror on people that just wanted to live in peace. but these libs just do not want to think. they want the government to think for us.

e. NOW THEN, SPEAKING TO WORRY: they worry about global warming rather than the true danger of thermonuclear war (could easily be started by north korea or by iran, and i'd bet it would be by iran too, therefore, we had better darned well be over there in full force and alert) or the terrorists that form cells all over the middle east and come into our country in order to KILL YOU because they believe the hype.

f. the reason that they believe the hype is that they do not delve (it is not sheeplike to ask questions or read anything other than newspapers such as the new york times) into what causes certain pseudo-scientists to claim that only CO2 is the reason behind global warming. the true scientists and especially highly trained meteorologists that DO NOT TAKE GRANT MONEY tell only the truth about global warming: that it is a natural cycle of the earth.

g. the leftists listen to the likes of al gore (remember, he told us that he invented the internet?), who has gone so far as to state publicly that (omg!) smoke from cigarettes is one of the causes behind global warming!!!

h. some leftists are truly of the opinion that our government actually created the attacks on 911 by exploding bombs in the north and south wtc towers before they had the american trained muslims whom the government set up, and paid, in order to fly commercial jets through them!!! can you believe this crock? they just adore talking all about plots and conspiracies!

IT IS TRUE that we absolutely MUST be ever wary of terrorism.

i. but libs do not want THE TAX DOLLARS paid out to fight terrorism because they think that all the islamics are good people fighting dictatorships, and that we do not need to help them (which i agree with, because we cannot dictate a democratic sort of government to anyone), and, that we are only there for the oil. that is partly true.

j. the lefties just want to be in the flock. since the journalists in the new york times talk more of of their practically impossible to understand gibberish about how our government is ignoring, and therefore causing future tragedy to occur in our climate, they then have a ready-made conversation for the popular liberal parties they attend.

honestly, they really, really should examine what dangers exist in this messed up world that we live in today. when the terrorists do make a hit on us again, it is going to be far, far more damaging than was 911. i sort of know what they will do, but i do not want to say it since who knows if a terrorist is reading from this forum?

i HOPE that what i believe those highly dedicated and spiteful, insane fanatics may do the next time will not come to pass. because what i believe they are going to do is to destroy a whole lot of people! we have to fight them. we must.

may we live in peace and harmony. but that takes active thinking and action. it doesn't take talking at parties and it does not take protests. it takes thinking about what sort of world we wish to live in and making it come true. i am so darned tired of hearing the leftists tell me, only at christmas btw, how they "wish" for world peace!

First, global warming is a fact--which anyone who has even a basic understanding of science knows.

Second, the terrorists, while dangerous in some degree, are not a "threat to national security." Here's prooof:
--our borders have been left open by Bush
--The attacks in Madrid and London show the terrorists have the ability to mount a serious attack
--therefore, if the terrorists wanted to strike in the US all that bad, they'd have done so
--therefore its not that serious and Bush's war on terror is a sham

So we need to focus on real problems, not Bush's paranoid fantasies.

I expect Global Warming to flood large areas of the coasts and cause stronger hurricanes. I believe the problems Al Gore warns about. I can't imagine the "unimaginable catastrophe" that some say would result from defeat in Iraq. I do not think large armies of terrorists will follow us home from Iraq, no matter what we do or don't do there. I think this is a wacky THEORY of Republicans.

Because they can sell people on a (costly)idea to "fix" global warming (which they can't in reality, but as long as there is a problem they feel they have a way to solve it), but not terrorism. They can't see an "easy" way to fix terrorism by throwing more money at it.

I think it's an equal worry although if Mother Nature has her way the terrorists are going to be experiencing global warming and climate change with the rest of the world . They're not escaping anthing either.

Terrorism they don't.
If they did worry about terrorism they come to know the right thing to do is take it head on.
