short answer: yes
long answer: yes, but he may not be drafted as a QB. many college QBS who are deemed unable to play the position in the NFL are converted to WRs. look at Antwaan Randal El out of Indiana and Hines ward from Georgia. both were running qbs like smith who weren't the best passers. I'm not saying that troy can't be a good QB in the pros, but with his 4.4 speed, he would be very attractive to a team who's looking for a versatile wide out. a coach like ken wizenhunt of he cardinals would be interested if he didn't already have two amazing receivers. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jon greuden was reportedly amazed by smith's comprehension of the TB scheme, and with Chris Simms having a very poor few years, it may be worth it for them to pick him up to challenge Simms, and maybe even take his spot. smith will go in the draft, but with the depth at the QB position, he'll probably fall to the second round
in response to twinsdaddy06's comment:
Smith is a SENIOR! he doesn't have any more years of eligibility left. he wouldn't be able to return to OSU if he wanted to. besides, Ohio State has two up and coming wrs in ray small, who is supposed to be better than ginn, and redshirt freshman Hartline, who had key catches in the Indiana and Michigan games. Chris wells will be able to carry the load at Rb, so it wouldn't necessarily hurt his stock

Troy Smith has to go into the NFL Draft this year via fact his college eligibility is complete. he's a senior and for this reason has no threat to return to college to play anymore. verify out the Mock Draftboards that are accessible to work out his projected draft place.

Oh yeah, he's defiintely going to be in the draft. He's already declared for it. He was at one point expected to be the top-drafted quarterback, but after his performance in the National Championship game, his stock has dropped. He's now expected to go late first round, early second round, somewhere around there. However, a lot of it still depends on how he does at the NFL combine. I think it's possible that he might drop even further.

Yeah, I believe he's the third QB on the board behind LSU's JaMarcus Russell and Notre Dame's Brady Quinn.
Michigan State's Drew Stanton could move into the three spot with some impressive showings in the upcoming combine (much like Jay Cutler did last year).
