I kind of agree, i hate almost all of this new music.
The best music (the music i like) was mostly sung, performed, and probably written by people high on at least doobie!
I should have left this one alone,
I'm a 1 finger typer.

No. I think the music industry got more greedy. Producers wated a bigger cut and they could get a bigger cut if they made all the rules in the contract rather than finding new talent. So you have all these mini American Idols running around making The Monkeys, Devo, The Spice Girls etc. Now producers don't even want to handle rock bands, because they say 80% of the work gets pirated. That leave the new rock bands to drift around with much fewer fans. With fewer fans, they can't make a profit doing stadium shows so they are stuck in bars and clubs. Without the fans they don't get the craze that was enjoyed by bands in the 50s, 60s and 70s. It's the craze that helps make a period of music better than another musical period.
