I recently read a book by Pamela Des Barres, one of the world's most well known groupies, and wondered what your opinion on their behaviour is. Do you think they're cheap/tacky for sleeping with 'rock stars'? Or are they just liberated go getters?

It was a very interesting read.I think the behavior of groupies was more acceptable in the 70's and 80's.People were more innocent and naive, less aware of STD's,and women did not command respect for themselves.These days if a women chooses to be a groupie,she's looked at like a common prostitute.
